Oceans of Hope Adventurous Challenge Rona II 2
We are delighted to be partnering with Oceans of Hope UK this season. Oceans of Hope is a charity for people with MS, led by people with MS, who are uniquely placed to understand the condition because they are living with the condition themselves. Their aim is to offer people from all over the world the opportunity to experience sailing as a way of learning new skills and restoring their self confidence.
The Rona Sailing Projects aims are to provide offshore sail training opportunities for young people and certain adults to acquire those attributes of a sailor, namely: a sense of responsibility, resourcefulness and teamwork, which will help throughout their lives. So we are a perfect fit!
There are a number of opportunities available during the 2026 season including this 6 night/7 day voyage.
All 3 of our large sail training boats will sail together and you will be met at the RSP HQ by our enthusiastic and helpful volunteers who will issue you with safety equipment and, if necessary, wet weather gear. You will then take one of our launches to our berthing in the River Hamble to join Rona II, our Oyster 68.
After a safety briefing, accompanied by a cup of tea, you will then set off down the river into the Solent. We encourage everyone on board to get involved with every aspect of the voyage. You will be supported by our volunteers who will guide you through the voyage; from putting up the mainsail to steering the boat in one of the busiest waterways in the world.

After booking you will be sent a link with your individual Crew Declaration form which must be completed within 7 days of booking. This declaration supplies vital information to ensure that we can ensure you have the best experience. Once this is complete then you will be sent the Crew Handbook and Parents Guide but to help with those frequent questions we've also compiled a few useful answers below. You must be able to climb 6 - 8 steps.
Please note that you will travel from the marina to the berth via a launch.
We will ask you to complete an additional form regarding your health, mobility and any other issues that you feel would be relevant to ensure the best possible enjoyment from the voyage.
Although our boats are not wheelchair friendly on deck and below we are able to store up to 2 on board for you to use to travel from to and from the pontoon.
